Reigate Bathroom Conversion – Victorian Black and White Floor Tiles and Victorian Inspired Wall Tiles

We are delighted to finally produce a blog on the stunning Reigate bathroom conversion we have been involved in here at The Little Tile Company. This bathroom, in a period property, had been adjacent rooms consisting of an old toilet cubicle and a medium sized bathroom with an original cast iron bath. The two rooms were also located in the original house and a later extension, making conversion in to one space difficult and had the involvement of a structural engineer, architect and building control officers.

Once the builders had created the space, we became involved, and advised the clients on the tiles that would create their desired look.

The clients were deciding between a fully tiled bathroom and a tile and wood cladding look, but much favoured a fully tiled bathroom. That of course made us happy! Once that was decided, we looked at various style options and the clients opted for a fully tiled white metro wall option and black and white floor tiles and had been influenced by victorian style floor tiles that they had seen. After looking at various tile samples, the clients chose the beautiful V&A Collection White Metro tile for the walls with a grey grout and a simple, stylish and contemporary black and white floor tiles. We stuck to the grey grout to ensure a seamless look. The black and white floor tiles and the white metro tiles are a classic and timeless pairing. They can be used in a variety of patterns and designs. They can be broken up with different wall and floor coverings to achieve your own bespoke style.

Project completion!

We have uploaded several images of the Victorian black and white floor tiles and white wall tiles and of the project completion. It is simply stunning. The client’s choice of Victorian style high-level cistern and Victorian style sanitary ware, coupled with a simply gorgeous bespoke made and painted cast iron bath compliment the look beautifully.
